I use an eclectic approach utilizing a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities to best suit each individual client's needs. Some of my preferred methodologies of treatment are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Somatic-based Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Often times I take an integrative approach, which involves combining two or more treatment methods to create a more personalized approach. Research supports that the relationship between the therapist and client contributes greatly to the client's outcome no matter what technique is utilized (Norcoss, J. & Lambert, M., 2018).
Clients have described me as an interactive therapist; I pride myself on being an active participant during session time. I center session time on teaching, clarifying, and exploring.
